It simply goes to show, that talent will always show up, no matter, how it happens.
It brings me to think of yet another dropout, who left school at the age of 14 without finishing his high school. Started as a clerk in the Council office in New South Wales, was elected to the Parliament at the age of 25.
Became a Cabinet minister in the dying days of the Whitlam government and when the Labour came to power again, Paul Keating became the Australia’s most successful and dynamic treasurer. Finally became the Prime Minister and remains until the Labour government lost office.
He is not just another politician, he is Paul Keating man of vision great integrity with dynamics to match. From the very beginning he was a reformer, who transformed the Australian economy, which had been written with tariffs and shackled to the motherland. He reformed all that, remove the tariffs, floated the dollar and has been a campaigner for Australia to become a republic and find its place in Asia rather than in the West. If any of your readers are interested to know more about the man and his passions, his brilliant wit, they will find it on the you Tube.
I only wish that we had someone like him in Pakistan.
